To find out more, click "Read More." Hi everyone - happy holidays! I have one more opportunity for you to consider to help those in need! I am running 40 miles January 10th and 11th (1/2 marathon on Saturday, plus an extra .7 miles, and a full marathon on Sunday!) to raise money for cancer research for kids. I am actually sponsoring a child whose name is Andrew and who has a brain tumor. The run is called "The Goofy Challenge," for reasons I am sure you can understand, and is being held in Disney World, Florida. As a runner I am required to raise $2900. I am writing you to consider supporting me and this cause. Any amount would be appreciated as we all join in together to support the effort to help spare our kids from cancer. Details and the donation page are found at the following website - so just click on it and you'll see, if you are interested! If for some reason you do not have access to the website or just want to write a check, you can make checks out to; The Rally Foundation And send them to me at; Tom Wheeler 2709 VonThuringer Court Charlotte, NC 28210 As you may have also read in a Hoskins Park Ministries email sent today, my wife Kate is running too, but for Hoskins Park Ministries rather than the Rally Foundation. You can see her information on the Hoskins Park Ministries website; http://hoskinspark.org/ Look on the right side of the main screen (there is a donation button there also). She is running the 1/2 marathon on Saturday and the full marathon on Sunday, with me, but "for" the least of God's children who are with us at Hoskins Park Ministries (homeless men)! Currently Hoskins Park Ministries has 12 houses and 35 men that we disciple. Her goal is to raise $10,000. If you would rather support the poor, please access the Hoskins Park website and you'll see the information there. Or if you cannot access the website, you can make checks to; Hoskins Park Ministries, and send them to the address above! Just put on them that it is for the goofy challenge! So, please help if you were looking for a good cause to support and an organization you can trust will use your money wisely. Both of these organizations will do that. And of course, both of these organizations are non-profits and allow you a tax write off for the year you write the check. Oh, and please send this email to anyone you know who might want to support childhood cancer research or the homeless. Thanks! Blessings! -Tom "whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40 Set as favorite Bookmark
